Question. Can you win a war where the enemy's main weapon is the suicide bomber? Apparently our enemy in Iraq is not facing any shortage of young men and women who are willing to blow themselves up in the name of Allah. What do you do with a suicide bomber if you catch them, anyway?
Isn't it strange that those "holy men" who give direction to these mis-guided young men and women never take their own teaching to heart. They don't strap on an explosives laden belt and blow themselves up. If the reward is as great as its advertised, wouldn't a holy man want to be closer to Allah? The inescapable conclusion is that these holy men want to live and they don't believe their own crap. They're using religion to accomplish a political end and they don't mind sacrificing their children to do it.
So perhaps we ought to take a page from Saddams playbook. Put the fear of Allah in them. Arrest every sunni and shiite holy man. Then tell them that the next time someone blows themselves up, we're going to execute one of them.
If we did, I imagine the suicide bombing would stop.
Oh my god. I'm starting to sound like a conservative. Help me. Please help me.
